“I told the front desk person it was a prepaid reservation but they charged me twice. Then they said they couldn’t credit the amount back because I had to wait till the next morning to discuss it with the volte manager, starting 7am. The next morning same story. The person in charge at the front desk said the Manager was not it that day and I had to give them a call to discuss my claim. Very very upset and disappointed ”

“Horribly misleading photos. Once you step past the lobby or look in any direction you can see that everything was dirty, run down, and smelled. There was broken or out of service signs on almost every visible area, doors windows, etc. Our room looked nice but was very dirty. The bathroom was almost unusable. The sinks backed up the tub backed up, there was tubing and bite marks all over the door frame and walls. There was half holes. It was horrendous. The breakfast ran out of everything...

“The stairwell and hallway smelled disgusting, and there was a smell in the room so I had to blast the air conditioner to help reduce the odor because it was preventing me from falling asleep. The bed made my skin itch, and the chair had a big yellow stain on it so I went to flip the cushion over but u underneath the cushion was so dirty I decided not to sit in the chair. I paid for 2 nights but I left after 1 night because I couldn’t deal with the smell in the room any longer.”

Once checked in and in our room we immediately began noticing different cleanliness issues, dead bugs on the counters, a film coating on the shower, baseboards and flooring were stained from previous visitors. “I liked that it is a historic inn. It has a large indoor pool with sliding doors to the outside play area. Its 56 Tavern is fine dining, and we had an excellent meal, and it has a decent wine list.”
